Dr. Chen started his practice in Morgan Hill in September 2012 after completing fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at Stanford University. Earlier training included medical school at Cornell University Medical College and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York.
He joined a second clinic in January 2015 in San Jose, right around the corner from O'Connor Hospital.
Starting October 2020, the practices were consolidated under one roof, allowing him to be full-time at a single location.
With his subspecialty training in sports medicine, areas of particular interest include the shoulder and knee. This encompasses arthroscopic procedures as well as more complex open procedures, including fracture care and joint replacement. However, his emphasis remains on maintenance and restoration of function, rather than on any specific body part or surgery.
